Miss Wise Fall Fling 2006

August 31st, 2007

Meet Joy — the 2006 Miss Wise Fall Fling — isn’t she lovely?

The Miss Wise Fall Fling pageant always has beautiful contestants, but more importantly the pageant raises money to help local schools and charities.

We donated a gift certificate last year to the Miss division and boy –were we glad!  We had the priviledge of doing a session with Joy.  The first image is Chris’ absolute favorite.

Want to TRASH your prom dress?

August 25th, 2007

Ok … I am looking for a fabulous SENIOR who is interested in a FREE Senior Session.   There is one BIG catch to get the FREE session you have to be willing (with your parent’s written permisson of course) to model for a TRASH YOUR PROM DRESS session.

This is something that I have wanted to do for quite some time now, but haven’t had a chance to pursue it.  To be honest — Chris had no clue what I was even talking about.  We want to choose the participant before we decide on when, where and how.  I want the session to reflect your personality and style along with our vision.

If this sounds like something you want to try — then send me an email with TRASH MY DRESS as the subject matter.  Also, briefly tell me why YOU are the perfect model for this session.  Please attach a picture of yourself to the email and if you have a picture of you in your dress please attach this image as well.

Please note that we are considering this a modeling session for some fun promotional images.  We will be choosing our model based on several different factors such as looks, personality, comfort level in front of the camera, etc.  We will not be solely choosing our model based on looks.

If you are unsure what a Trash My Dress session is, simply google “trash my dress.”

My most patient senior …

August 21st, 2007

Randa has to be the most patient senior I have had so far.  With all of the everyday drama that goes on and then me being sick and out of work for a week .. she has waited two weeks to even get a sneak peek of her pics.

We tried out a new location with her and I think it worked beautifully!  What can I say about her except she was marvelous and fun!

A cool girl on a hot day …

August 8th, 2007

I don’t think it could have been any hotter yesterday for this session.  The only thing cool yesterday during this session was Courtney and all of her cute clothes!

It is really going to be hard to narrow the images down for this session.  Courtney was a dream to work with and I believe she wins the award for “most clothes brought to a session”, but she took everything we told her to heart.

Just a little update —

August 6th, 2007

Just a quick note from me and Chris to let you know a couple of things that have been going on with us.  I haven’t had a chance to do any new posts on the blog for the last two weeks or so because of several different factors.

Chris had outpatient surgery last week on his nose.  He is fine, but looks like a chipmunk that had been in a bad fight and lost.  Thanks to all of you who put up with his tissue and bandages.

We have been having some problems with our email.  For some reason my inbox is receiving tons of  junk and my junk box is getting loads of our regular email.  I am in the process of going through all of our junk mail to try and weed our regular emails out.  It appears as if this has been going on for awhile now.  If you have sent us an email and we have not responded — send it again.   This has been very time consuming and I am still going through emails.   Thanks in advance for your patience.

Last, but not least, we have also had hard drive problems.  To anyone who uses external hard drives — 100 percent recommendation to use Seagate.  Chris and I arrived home one night to hear “clicking” noises coming from one of the many external hard drives we use.  To those of you who don’t know (me included)  — clicking is not good.  This particular hard drive stored about 500 gb of our most recent work.  Although, we have other back-ups of this hard drive,  it takes a long time to retrieve them for use.  Chris immediately started working on it (hitting it actually) and ended up at Wal-Mart about 3:00 in the morning getting a quickie replacement, but he managed to get all of the data off of the drive before it died.  It took him all weekend to get everything back in place.   I don’t know if Chris has recovered from that little fright, but I do know there is a tad more gray in his hair.

We do have a back up system on our computer, but you never know what little glitch might happen.  Advice for anyone who stores their images on their computer — have a back up.  Hard drives do crash.  Some info may be recoverable, but it also comes with a hefty price tag and sometimes they can’t recover all the material on a drive.  If you burn your images to a CD — make sure you are purchasing the highest quality cd’s for storage.

I have always heard that things happen in sets of three — well, I am hoping we are on the high road at this point.  Be sure and check out the new posts I have added below.

 Enjoy!

Fabulous senior —

August 6th, 2007

This was such a fun session!  I felt like we walked 20 gazillion miles, but it was worth it in the end.  She was fabulous and fun!  She did whatever we wanted her to do and then had some great ideas of her own.

Jade is in from Michigan visiting with her Nana and wanted to do something different for her Senior Pics.  How cool to find out during the session that some of the locations we visited for her Senior Pictures was also some of the same places her grandparents took her when she was visiting as a child.

Now for some funky and fun ones (my favorites) …

I love ballet –

August 6th, 2007

Isn’t she just beautiful?  Chris came home with this image and I loved it.  I knew as soon as he showed it to me what I wanted to do with it.

Look closely at the part of the image inside the frame — I don’t know if it is very visible on here because of the size, but that portion of the image has been painted.

Here is a close-up of her legs so you can see some of the detail …
