AND let me drag her around in a ballet outfit! She also smiled the entire time and never once complained — well, maybe once, when we attempted to put her in a window of an old building that really was creepy!
I had been wanting to do some different ballerina pictures for quite some time and Alyssa was gracious enough to model for me. I was looking for something different, funky and fun — I think we achieved that. The fabulous shots in front of that blue door were a complete bonus!
Enjoy!

I wanted to cry when I saw these sweet pictures because they so remind me of my girls. We don’t always have to put our children in their best clothes and fix their hair just so for their portraits.
These are the pictures that melt your heart and bring all those memories rushing back because these images truly show your child. This is what she liked doing at this stage of life – dressing up, playing house, or pretending to be a fairy princess. I know my girls look like this just about everyday at home. They love their dress up clothes and pretending to be magic fairies.
Isn’t she beautiful? Check out those shoes –

Why not have some fun with your portraits? Go ahead and bring their finest clothes … but also do what this Mommy did … bring something with them that truly shows what they were doing at this age and stage of their life. Include their favorite toy or favorite outfit — or even better — let them pick out their clothes for one of their shots.
